We all have a smartphone and we know just how addictive it can be. We spend all day talking on WhatsApp, Facebook or hunting Pokémon. All of a sudden, when you least expect it, your battery runs out and your screen shuts off. This can be very annoying if you’re about to meet up with someone and you have no way of notifying them that you’ll be coming late. In these cases, an external battery could save your life so that you can charge your phone on the go! Keep reading and find out more about this life-saving portable battery charger.
When you’re looking for a portable battery charger, choose the capacity of your external battery depending on your phone’s battery capacity. In hindsight, it seems like a great idea to purchase a 16,000mAh portable battery, but this isn’t necessarily true. If your phone’s has 8,000mAh, it’s recommended to get a charger that’s only slightly higher than that. Why? Because the more mAh you get, the more expensive and heavier it will be.
If you decide to buy a portable battery charger, the best thing you can do is to buy one that charges your phone at a suitable rate.
You’ll normally have two port options – a tranditional USB or microUSB. Choosing a microUSB port is definitely the better option, since it uses the same cable as your regular smartphone charger.
We recommend purchasing a portable battery charger that has at least 500 cycles in it, similar to a regular lithium-ion cell battery. This will most likely last you about 2 years of use!
