The Google Nexus 5X smartphone, which originated from the collaboration between Google and LG, is the successor of the popular Nexus 5 (2013), which was particularly distinguished by its price / performance ratio. To find out if the newer, larger Nexus 5X is as exciting, read on ...
The screen of the Nexus is 5.2 inches in size and has a classic LC display.
The display with its high brightness, the good contrasts and the resolution of 424 ppi, which can make the screen come alive, can convince us.
The battery can not convince us completely. The battery capacity is 2,700 mAh and thus only lasts about 5.45 hours. There is a quick-charge technique, but this is not explained further. Definitely to say that it does not work as well as QuickCharge 2.0. For the battery there is still plenty of room to improve.
The back camera has a resolution of 12.3 MP and also gives good results even in poor lighting. In daylight the resolution is really great, the pictures are colourful and have detail. The shutter speed for photos is 0.44 seconds. The front camera has a resolution of 5 MP.
The Nexus 5X runs with Android 6.0 Marshmallow and works quite fast and without delay. It has a 6 core processor Snapdragon 808 with only 1.8 GHz power and 2 GB of RAM.
Map & Memory:
For the Nexus, the Nano SIM card is used and you have to choose between the variants with 16 GB or 32 GB memory, since the memory is not expandable. The latter version costs about 50 Pounds more.
View from the outside:
The weight is pleasant with only 137 grams and is of the form rather thin. The housing is glossless and the black variant looks more high-quality than the white. The smartphone is also available in turquoise.
What is missing from our accessories?
The Nexus 5X is delivered without a headset and has no USB cable to connect to the PC.
