When OnePlus announced their smartphone back in 2014, they immediately gained public attention. This was mainly due to the quality of their smartphones, which where right up there with other flagships, but were priced significantly lower. How was this possible? Well, the Chinese company only allowed certain people with an “invite” to purchase the phone, which kept it exclusive. The company had previous released two phones – the OnePlus 2 and OnePlus X, and now it’s time for the OnePlus 3! Would you like to know what its design and specs are, and when it’ll be released? Then keep reading!
The OnePlus 3 has an elegant design, which resembles the iPhone. The frame is made of a single block of aluminum, which adds extra strength. The OnePlus 3 has a size of 152.7 x 74.7 x 7.35mm and weighs 158g, which is normal for this type of phone.
The phone has a fingerprint scanner built into the 4 Gorilla Glass display. In addition, there’s 0.755 mm of casing adjacent next to the display screen.
The OnePlus 3 has a super display screen, having a size of 5.5-inches. The phone has a full HD resolution, 1920 x 1080-pixel screen. This is the same as the iPhone 6S Plus, but less than, say, the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. The Gorilla Glass display 4 ensures that the phone is resistant to scratches.
The smartphone has a Sony IMX298 sensor camera with 16 megapixels. This is relatively low when you compare it to other competitors such as the Motorola Moto Z.
You can add manual settings to the camera, but you can also use auto HDR. OnePlus also introduced a new feature, Dynamic Denoise, which ensures that your photos look tidier and sharper. The pictures that we have seen so far are very promising!
The OnePlus 3 has an 8-megapixel front camera, which should be good enough to make selfies in a dark environment. Unfortunately, there is no autofocus or OIS available for the front camera.
The phone runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 and has 6 GB of RAM. This is more than its competitors because the standard amount of RAM nowadays is 4 GB. The phone has a dual SIM and 64 GB of storage space. In addition, we expect the phone to last an entire day.
The phone will cost around € 360 and can be ordered online starting from 14th June.
