Case & Display:

From the outside it can be seen that the functionality comes before the aesthetics. The housing is made of plastic and does not look very chic, but with its rough surface it fits better in the hand. The Xcover 4, made for every outdoor lover or simply the clumsy ones, is waterproof (up to 1.5 meters deep for 30 minutes) and protected against dust, as well as to withstand extreme temperatures, vibrations, pressure and chemicals. The Xcover is also awarded the military standard MIL-STD-810G. As with the previous version, there are 3 real buttons on the front of the screen: "Back", "Home" and the view of all open apps.

The 5 inch display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels is nothing extraordinary but in any case bright enough for use outside. The screen of the Xcover 4 will continue to be a TFT panel and not an AMOLED screen, so thats why the new version of the Xcover the colors will not be as bright as with other Samsung devices.

System & Memory:

The Xcover 4 runs with the operating system Android 7.0 nougat and has a working memory of 2 GB. The processor is the 1.4 GHz quad-core processor. The Xcover requires a nano-SIM card. The internal memory is 16 GB and is expandable with a micro SD card. The 2.800 mAh battery is still removable.

The cameras were compared to the predecessor of the Xcover series, probably the most improved, with a 13 MP main camera and a 5 MP front camera. Videos can now also be recorded in Full HD and the rear camera has a aperture of F / 1.9.

The Xcover 4 is a smartphone that certainly does not let you down quickly, with its robust exterior and its resistance. The small and larger enhancements of the system make the Xcover 4 a more attractive device for outdoor use as well as for people who would like a more stable smartphone.
