These are the questions that we are here to answer for you. Want to know who our winner for the Smartphone of 2018 is? Then read on so you can decide which you think is the best smartphone of the year!
Our rankings start with a Chinese smartphone, the OnePlus6. This Chinese company has met the high-end specifications while still keeping the phone affordable. Making our list as the best smartphone, it is known for it’s impressive quality of build, clean Android software, amazing design, and specs that meet the competition of the Samsung Galaxy S9. The Chinese have often called themselves the "flagship killer", after producing the OnePlus 6. The OnePlus covers all important functions, and at a good price. What’s even better? The OnePlus Bullet Wireless headphones that were specifically designed to pair with this phone. These bluetooth headphones are light, stylish, and convenient to store. The battery life is what is most impressive with these, lasting a total of 8 hours when charged completely.
Of course, you knew apple would create a phone that qualifies as the best smartphone. In terms of design and aesthetics, the iPhone XR is still at the forefront. Simple design with a noble glass back to wireless charging and the renunciation of the home button provide a futuristic-looking smartphone. Unfortunately, Apple has also omitted the aux port, which makes the Apple device a little more incompatible. Too bad for one of the most expensive smartphones in the market. The XR scores with a long battery life and a strong processor allowing you to chat for hours, watch videos, take pictures, etc. without any problems. The large, 6.1-inch LCD display, which varies in terms of size between the siblings smartphones XS and XS Max.
Also new: According to Apple , the smartphone can withhold under water up to 30 minutes, making this phone the best candidate for bath lovers. However, Apple does not guarantee water damage.
In order to protect you from falls and bumps, we suggest you cover it with one of our custom phone cases. Your smartphone will always be well protected and immediately gets a stylish upgrade!
The predecessor of the recently released XZ3, the Xperia XZ2 Compact from Sony, take third place. As the name implies, the XZ2 with its "just" 5-inch display size is extra compact, ideal for people who can not handle the ever-growing screens. Also regarding display, camera, battery and power, Sony does not disappoint and puts the competition in the shade. Full HD OLED display, 19 megapixels and 4K videos, 12h battery life and a powerful processor speak for a high-end model. Unfortunately, the AUX port was omitted in all the technical gimmicks, you need an extra adapter or special headphones to listen to music, which makes it incompatible and loses a few points in direct comparison with the rival Galaxy S9. Maybe not the best smartphone, but definitely one of them.
Samsung delivers as usual a first-class successor to the S8. However, the expected by some smartphone fans, Samsung prefers reliability rather than innovation. Nevertheless, there is almost nothing to complain about: Modern, sleek design, good handling and a high-tech inside confirm Samsung's position as the top dog in the smartphone business. There are also some gadgets such as wireless charging and AR Emojis (AR = augmented reality), means you can create your own avatar with the help of the front camera. Whether this really must be part of the basic equipment of a smartphone is up to you. What should definitely belong to the basic equipment: a Samsung Galaxy S9 customized phone case, which reliably protects the expensive device so you will not have to be looking for a new phone again next year.
The Mate 20 Pro is the most expensive Huawei ever but definitely the best as well.
Thanks to artificial intelligence (AI), the 20 megapixel camera, for example, can distinguish dogs from humans and thus always finds the optimal camera setting. It is also possible to keep individual objects colored while the background turns black and white. The 4K videos can be edited in real-time with different filter options during the recording, which even some computer software and hardware moderately do this. Perfectly processed, large bright display and an incredibly fast load time you belong to the strengths of the flagship.
The only drawback: Huawei also continues to omit the trend of the Aux cable. Who does not mind buys this for about $999 a high-end device of the highest class, which leaves nothing to be desired (until next year at least), for us that means a deserved first place!
